The training system know as the "APC Syllabus"
or "Army Proficiency Certificate" Syllabus,
is a progressive and structured system, designed to
increase an individuals knowledge in a modular style.
This means that when a cadets first joins us they will
become Recruits, and as such will be trained in the
very basics of the Army Cadet Force, what we do and
how we do it. Once they have mastered the basics and
demonstrated that they have attained a certain predefined
level of knowledge, they will then progress to the next
level, "1 Star Cadet". This system continues
thru to "4 Star Cadet" and then lastly "Master
Cadet". The Military subjects that we follow are

When you progress to Four Star, you have the opportunity
to achieve a BTec Diploma in Public Services. This Award
is based largely on the training you have been doing
since you joined the ACF, and is the equivalent to 4
GCSEs at A to C Level. The BTec is free of charge -
and you don't have to spend 2 or three years at College
to achieve it, but it does count if you want to go on
to Higher Education.
