If you are interested in sports and not just in taking part, perhaps you should consider a "Sports Leader Award". These awards are aimed at qualifying you with a nationally recognised qualification designed specifically in the organising and running of a sporting event. You will attend a course normally held over a few weekend periods, where you will be Instructed by qualified staff in such areas as:

Organisational skills
Safety in sport
Organisation of events and competitions
