We
all got up at 8am (most of us didn't know there was
a 8am on Saturdays) and went to Bristol, we arrived
and after a bit of luck and blagging, parked almost
next door to the event site. Colour Pursey inspected
us after we had pinned on our Sport Relief socks and
runner numbers and we marched to the main site, we had
plenty of time to spare and we were interviewed by Radio
Bristol, played with some circus equipment showing off
more of our talents! We also met Brizzley Bear the Bristol
Rugby team mascot.
At 11:30 we
set off, we had to wait for everyone else to go so we
could march as a squad, but we soon caught up, marking
time until we could safely pass
people and even doubling in places!!! We marched cross
the finish line at 11:44, not bad eh? Considering the
heat and the hundreds of other runners-a job well done!.
And why did
we do it? To raise money for children in the U.K. and
across the world who don't have the chances or the resources
we have and also to complete our bronze and silver Duke
of Edinburgh awards.
