The "A" Team were placed
3rd in the Bisley V Club long-range match, shooting
at 900 and 1000 yards and were awarded Bronze medals.
L/Cpl Katie Uphill scored a possible at 900 yards (50
with 8 x V bulls), which was an outstanding result.
Cpl's Tom Bulmer, Michael Smith and
L/Cpl Katie Uphill gained National Rifle Association
Cadet Hundred Badges. Shooting in her first meeting,
L/Cpl Danielle Taylor narrowly missed gaining a badge
by one point.
The Commandant congratulates both
teams on their excellent results for two newly formed
young teams.
CADET LEADER INSTRUCTOR MARKSMANSHIP
COURSE - CANADA
Cpl Tom Bulmer left directly from
Bisley at the conclusion of the above meeting to attend
the seven-week CLIMC course at the Canadian Army Cadet
Summer Training Camp Connaught, near Ottawa.
He will receive marksmanship, coaching,
Leadership and method of instruction training, as well
as competing in the National Cadet Full-bore Meeting.
He will also shoot in the Ontario Provincial Rifle Meeting
and Dominion of Canada Rifle Association Meeting.
As well as the aforementioned training he will visit
places of interest including Niagara Falls.
L/Cpl Katie Uphill remained at Bisley
to compete in the National Rifle Association Imperial
Meeting. The Council for Cadet Rifle Shooting and National
Rifle Association sponsored her to take part in this
meeting.
