Candidates will spend five days learning and practicing
skills in their chosen activity. All courses will be
registered with the Joint Services Mountain Training
Centre (JSMTC), and successful students will be awarded
a full Proficiency (except rock climbing), which is
a prerequisite for attendance on a training course for
supervising others on the activity.

Weekend Courses.
If you wish to try an activity before attending a week
long course, or you just fancy a weekend doing some
Adventurous Training, you can attend a "Cadet Experience
Weekend". You will be able to spend two full days
on the activity of your choice being guided by qualified
instructors, who will help you to improve your level
of skill. Activities on offer :
- Rock Climbing
- Kayaking
- Open Canoeing
- Caving
You will need to be 15 years or older and be physically
fit enough to spend two active days on your activity.
